    The same year, they released an LP Or So It Seems under the name Duet Emmo—an anagram of "Dome" and "Mute"—with Daniel Miller, head of Mute Records, and released Will You Speak This Word a.k.a. Dome 4 on the Uniton label. Wire reformed in , although Dome continued to perform and record occasionally.

    Jan 07,  · Consisting of the Dome duo and Daniel Miller, this album pretty much sounds as one might expect it too: eerily dark yet intelligent atmospheres, cold and harsh instrumentation, with frequent pleasures of electronic experimentation (thanks to the inclusion of the Mute Records founder, who's a notorious dabbler in electronic music); it makes sense considering the 'band' name is Dome and Mute /5().

    Originally released in , Duet Emmo 's Or So It Seems was one of the numerous projects pursued by Bruce Gilbert and Graham Lewis during Wire 's hiatus in the early '80s.

    Or So It Seems is an album by Graham Lewis, Bruce Gilbert and Daniel Miller under the pseudonym Duet Emmo (an anagram of Dome and Mute), released in by Mute Records. The title track was also released as a 12" single.

    The album was released in several formats, including CD, Double Vinyl LP, Minidisc and cassette, while RYKO released limited editions on Clear vinyl and gold numbered Au20 CD, not forgetting a CD and cassette bundle with a free CD rack!

    Duet Emmo Format: Vinyl. out of 5 stars 2 ratings. "Or So It S eems" is by DUET EMMO (Wire/Daniel Miller project) and NOT by JASEN EMMONS (whoever this is, sorry). war schon mutig, auch damals. Recoil (Alan Wilder) fand das Or so it seems wohl genauso spannend wie ich und hat es gleich mal auf seinem Debüt 1+2 gesampelt. Genau /5(2).

    Sep 04,  · The Normal en Silicon Teens. Duet Emmo is overigens een anagram van Mute en Dome, de laatste is een project van Gilbert & Lewis. En zo kruipt er dan toch pure electronica de Spotifette in, want Or So It Seems is opgebouwd uit diverse synth en sequencer lagen die ieder hun eigen ding doen. Leg daarover heen de klagelijke zang en de song is compleet.
